Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the Calormove app and the website calormove.com collect, why, who helps us process it and how you can get or delete it. If something is unclear, write to privacy@calormove.com.
In short. You can use Calormove without an account. We use your answers, workouts and meals only to run the app for you. Food photos go to an AI service only to recognise the food. Data from Apple Health is never used for ads. Ad measurement works only if you allow tracking. We never sell your data, and you can delete everything in the app.
1. Who is responsible
Calormove is an independent app. The developer shown as the seller on the Calormove page in the App Store ("we", "us") is the controller of your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection". For any privacy question write to privacy@calormove.com.
2. What we collect
- Account. An anonymous ID that the app creates on first launch. If you choose Sign in with Apple, also your Apple user ID and the email Apple shares with us (it can be a private relay address).
- Your answers. Goal, sex, age, height, weight, activity level, training days, place and equipment.
- What you log. Workouts, sets and weights, meals, notes and body weight.
- Apple Health, if you allow it. Steps, heart rate, workouts, active energy and weight.
- Food scans. The photo or text you send for recognition.
- Purchases. Subscription status from the App Store. Apple handles payment, and we never see your card.
- Diagnostics. Crash reports, app version, device model and iOS version.
- Support emails you send us.
3. Health data
Your answers, workouts, meals and Apple Health data are health data. We process them only with your explicit consent, which the app asks for, and only to run Calormove for you.
- Data from Apple Health is never used for advertising or marketing and is never shared with advertisers or analytics services.
- We never sell health data and never use it to build profiles for anyone else.
- You can change Apple Health access any time in the Health app: your profile picture, then Apps, then Calormove.
4. Food photos and AI
When you scan a meal, the photo or text is sent to an AI provider that recognises the food and estimates portions. The app asks for your permission before the first scan, and you can always log food by hand instead. The provider works on our instructions and may not use your photos or text to train its models. We delete scanned photos from our servers no later than 24 hours after recognition; the food entry stays in your diary until you delete it. AI estimates can be wrong, so check them before saving.
5. Why we use data
- To build your plan, run workouts and keep your diary and progress: to provide the app you asked for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and, for health data, your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a)).
- To recognise food: your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a)).
- To give access to Premium: to provide the subscription (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To fix crashes: our legitimate interest in a working app (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To measure which ads bring users: only if you allow tracking in the iOS prompt (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- To answer you when you write to us.
You can withdraw any consent at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.
6. Ads and tracking
We may advertise Calormove on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). The app asks for your permission to track. If you allow it, the app shares your advertising identifier and a few app events (install, trial start, purchase) with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. If you do not, Meta receives no identifier from us. We never share your answers, logs, photos or health data with Meta or any other advertiser. You can change this in iOS Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
7. Who helps us
We use service providers that process data only on our instructions and under a data processing agreement: hosting and database in the EU, an AI provider for food recognition, a subscription management service, a crash reporting service, an email delivery service, Cloudflare for this website and our email, Meta for ad measurement (only with your permission) and Apple for payments, Sign in with Apple, notifications and Apple Health. You can ask for the current list of providers at privacy@calormove.com.
Some providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Then we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
8. How long we keep data
- Account, plan and logs: while you use Calormove. If you delete your account, we erase it within 30 days, and from backups within another 30 days.
- Anonymous accounts with no activity for 24 months are deleted.
- Scanned photos: up to 24 hours after recognition.
- Crash reports: up to 12 months.
- Support emails: up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
- Purchase records: as long as tax law requires.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to show, give you a copy of, correct or delete your data, to limit or stop its use, and you can withdraw consent. To delete everything, open Settings in the app and tap Delete account. For anything else write to privacy@calormove.com; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country or, in Ukraine, to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights (ombudsman.gov.ua).
10. Age
Calormove is for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
11. This website
calormove.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no ad pixels. Cloudflare, which hosts it, processes your IP address and request details to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks. The site only remembers your language choice in your browser.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date above, and for important changes we tell you in the app first.
